Bedforms

Bedforms are the result of water movement over a soft surface area, creating dunes and ripples in the riverbed. The current carries sediment and debris through the water, and when it settles it can change the composition of the bottom. The depth and structure of dunes created can also help track the intensity and direction of water flow.
